Pit Farm Tennis Club is a vibrant and busy tennis club with numerous social events for all members to enjoy. Our activities have been curtailed throughout the pandemic, but our facilities are now fully open. We are reviving our traditional club activities and introducing new events, ensuring we do so as safely as we can.

We have a superb modern clubhouse which is light and spacious, and includes a bar and newly fitted kitchen. Surrounded by a large balcony overlooking the courts, and a lovely garden area, it is a perfect venue for relaxing after play and for social gatherings. Inside there are modern changing rooms and shower facilities.

During the year, club events include socials around Club Finals weekend, a Christmas party and summer barbecues. The clubhouse has WiFi and a television, and we sometimes hold social events around Wimbledon and other sporting fixtures.

Club Sessions

Join our popular organised club sessions on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, which run all year round. The bar is available, and, in summer, homemade cakes are provided on a rota by members. Our organised club sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings are also very popular all year round. The bar is also available, and in the summer our ‘pizza evenings’ on club sessions are very successful.

We have recently introduced Pilates classes in the clubhouse. Run by an experienced and qualified Pilates teacher, these are open to members only and are held on a Tuesday morning. More details are on the notice board in the clubhouse.

We hope that the social bridge evenings will be resumed. All members are welcome to join our friendly bridge evenings on the first Thursday of every month from October to June. If anyone is interested in organising this, please get in touch. Otherwise, watch this space for further details.

Fun Junior Events

Our junior and mini tennis members can join our popular junior tennis events, including a summer tournament and BBQ.

We follow the latest advice and guidance. As part of our Covid procedures, we have provided hand sanitisers around the clubhouse and grounds. Please continue to sanitise your hands before and after play, and keep your distance particularly in the clubhouse and on entering and exiting the courts.

For those who don’t play tennis, we offer a social membership. To find out more, see our Membership page.

We hope to see you soon!
